Ceinwen lived in small, rural towns across Australia and New Zealand until she was seventeen, keeping herself entertained by playing make-believe, her Nintendo 64, writing Harry Potter fan fiction, and working on a fantasy epic she thankfully never finished and kept (mostly) to herself.
She began writing in earnest at university, where she studied film with a focus on screenwriting. After graduating from the Western Australian Screen Academy with a Masters in Professional Communications she won an internship with long running serial drama Neighbours. At the conclusion of the internship, she joined the script department and worked first as an in-house storyliner, and then as a scriptwriter.
After several years of plotting Paul Robinson's nefarious plots, she took a break to rediscover her first love: prose. She wrote her first novel, The Edge of the Woods, in 2013 and published it in 2014.
A family tragedy knocked her out creatively for most of 2014 and 2015. She eased back in with Almost Midnight, a collection of feminist fairy tale retellings in 2016.
She is now back at Neighbours, and writing an interactive soap opera for top 25 iOS game Choices: Stories You Play. In between her deadlines, she is working on her difficult second novel, and trying to convince her boyfriend to get a dog.
